I had my first in-person teaching experience this weekend. It didn’t go well. Hearing the feedback (most was fair and completely valid, some of it less so) brought me to tears in front of a room. I don’t like to cry. This was easily the most embarrassing moment of my professional life. It hurts and I know that I’m hard on myself.
