I had my first in-person teaching experience this weekend. It didn’t go well.
Hearing the feedback (most was fair and completely valid, some of it less so) brought me to tears in front of a room.
I don’t like to cry.
This was easily the most embarrassing moment of my professional life. It hurts and I know that I’m hard on myself.
So today I’m resting.
I’ve cleared my calendar. I’m wearing my favorite onesie to Pilates with Snatched Fitness in an hour - my therapy.
Before class, I’ll burn some sage, light a candle, steep lavender and lemon tea.
And later, I’ll take a nap.
Crying and naps. Both are hard for me, actually.
And yet I know how much better I am on the other side of each one.
